Eyeway Synopsis: 
The UN Convention on the rights of persons with disability re-affirms existing human rights in the content of disability and focuses strongly on the discrimination that disabled people worldwide face on a daily basis . The countries that sign up to the convention and then ratify it are obliged to implement at the national level. India had signed the conventon on the 1st day of the opening of the convention of the state parties along with 79 countries i.e 30 March 2007 , and had ratified the convention on 1st October 2007 . After that India had prepared its 1st report to UNCRPD committee which is due for submission and plans are not known .The UNCRPD became an international law on 3rd May 2008 , in 2009 it became an international law . The convention guides all the state parties to ensure that persons with disabilities are been guranteed a life of dignity and should be treated as human being like any other citizen of a country .
