Diploma in Computer Application and Access Technology

This is a five month diploma course. It covers the following topics
• Basic Hardware and Software concepts.
• Basic Hardware and Software concepts.
• Operating System MS Windows.
• Word Processing MS Word.
• Spreadsheet MS Excel.
• Internet Browsing.
• E-mails.
• Indian Language Word Processing Optional.
• Screen Reading Software including Basic Operation and Screen Reading Configuration.
• Scanning and OCR.
• Using Computer as a Text Reading Machine.
• Utilities such as Dictionary, Encyclopedia, games, music, file compression and system maintenance Operating System MS Windows.

After completion of this course, trainees become eligible for the CCC examination conducted by DOEACC.

Who should join
• School and college going students who wish to read and write independently their books themselves at their own time of preference, and who want to write their assignments themselves.
• Person seeking employment.
• Person already employed, and who want to retain their productivity in the current office environment.
• Senior citizens who are losing their sight and have desire to read and write in hisher full life.
• Anyone who wants to explore the world of information available in the Cyber World and wants to remain independent in education, profession and daily living activities or recreation.

How to join
Individuals can apply in the prescribed form available free of cost at NAB.

Sponsored candidates may get their Application Form forwarded from the concerned Department, where they are employed. The application form can be collected in person from N.A.B. office on all weekdays between 10 am andamp; 5 pm. The form can also be acquired by post or email by sending a request to Head, Computer Department.

NAB will try to provide hostel facility as per availability at the cost of approx Rs. 1500 per month. This cost does not include the cost of food. The expense for the hostel is to be paid and borne directly by the candidates.

Monsoon batch begins on July 3rd.

Last day for application submission is June 20th.
