Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi, invites application from handicapped candidates for recruitment under special recruitment drive for filling up the following posts: 



Posts: 



1. Jr. Clerk 

No. of post: 03 for VH 

Pay Band: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- 

Age: 18-40 years 

Educational Qualification: Passed Matric or equivalent examination or its equivalent with 50% marks of more. If a candidate acquired higher qualification 50% marks will not necessary. 



2. Telephone Operator 

No. of post: 01 for VH 

Pay Band: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- 

Age: 18-40 years 

Educational qualification: Matric or its equivalent examination passes. 



3. Steno (Hindi) 

No. of post: 01 for Low Vision 

Pay Band: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- 

Age: 18-40 years 

Educational qualification: Matric school or its equivalent examination passed and minimum speed required 80 w.p.m in shorthand. 



Duration of dictation 10 minutes and transcriptions time 75 minutes. 



Blind: (i) Total absence of sight (ii) Visual acuities not exceeding 6/60 or 202/200 (snellen) in the better eyes with correcting lenses (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees of worse. 



Low vision: A person with impairment of visual functioning even after the treatment of standard refractive correction but who used or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. 



How To Apply: 



Application is invited on the prescribed proforma. Alongwith application (Annexure-1) Educational, Technical, Caste, Handicapped certificate (the disability certification be accepted which has been issued by a medical board dully constituted by the Central/State Government) and certificate related for ex-serviceman, attested by Gazetted officer should be enclosed. In addition also enclose a self address blank envelope with Rs. 5/- stamp posted on it. On the application envelope superscribe Application for Special Recruitment Against Handicapped Quota Employment Notice No. 03/2012 and your name and address. All applications must be sent by ordinary dak on the following address:

The VH candidates may be allowed to use Tailor Frame and Braille slate with paper for solving arithmetic problems in the examination hall. Partially blind candidates who are able to read magnifying glass may be allowed to use the same, but the shall not be allowed the help of scribe.
