Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) Plc has awarded scholarship covering full tuition fees, monthly upkeep allowance, as well as presentation of a Braille keyboard, laptop and a recording device to Mr. Israel Ojo Temitope, a visually impaired Higher National Diploma I Mass Communication student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State.

Srinagar: Saqib Ajaz Mir, a Class 10th visually impaired student of DPS Srinagar won the first position in the Classical Vocal category at the three-day long Divisional level, Kala Utsav held from November 20 to 23 at Girls Higher Secondary, Kothi Bagh Srinagar. He is a student of Learning Resource Centre, DPS Srinagar which focuses on providing holistic education to specially-abled students and integrating them with mainstream education.

After running from pillar to post, Jilumol Mariet Thomas moved the Kerala high court, which directed the regional transport officer in Idukki district’s Thodupuzha to accept her application for learner’s licence. She will finally get her learner’s certificate next week.

India - Sri Lanka to play blind cricket series

The Indian blind cricket team will take part in a bilateral series against Sri Lanka. The series will consist of three one-day matches and five T20 games and will start from 15 July in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The matches between July 15 and 17 July will be played at Burgher Recreation Club in Colombo.thses will be the ODI matches the India and Sri Lanka Blind Cricket teams.

Three T20 matches on 19 July, 20 July and 23 July are to be held at the Air Force Ground and two T20 matches on July 24 at Burgher Recreation Club.
