Online Workshop on Free Utility for Compressing files and folders with NVDA on 16 July 2022 at 4.30 PM

extension is happy to announce an online workshop on the theme “Free
Utility for Compressing files and folders with NVDA”. under its Tech
Roshni series - A step at bridging the digital divide for blind and low vision persons. This Workshop is supported by the SBI Foundation - Centre of Excellence (COE).

There are number of paid programs to Zipping and Unzip folders and files. An open-source utility used to compress files or folders into archives, with help of this program user can “compress”, “Zip” files and folders or vice versa. The software is free and can be used without any hassle.

Visually challenge users can use this program with open-source screen reader NVDA.

In upcoming workshop, we will study one of such with illustration.

Eligibility: participants should have good knowledge of screen reader, cursor movements, Key board and internet browsing.

Criteria: Persons with print disabilities such as blind and low vision. Participant should be a screen reader user.

Date: 16^th July 2022, (Saturday).

Time: 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Venue: Online Session (Zoom conferencing platform)

1. Instructions to login will be sent by email on 15th July 2022, Friday to the registered participants only.
