The Physiotherapy College for Visually Impaired announces that it will be undertaking application for the course named "Advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy" starting coming academic year for its first year. The said course is approved by the Ahmedabad University. 

Details of the Course: 

1. Course Name: Advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy
2. Course Duration: 3½ year course including 6 months compulsory internship [with hostel accommodation]
3. Affiliation: Ahmedabad University
4. Course Fees and Accommodation: Since the course is designed for visually challenged, the institute is providing free lodging and boarding for both girls and boys and there is no fees for course.
5. Eligibility: He / she must have passed the higher secondary certificate exams (H S C) from any other board recognized by the government of India/state government and the University equivalent to 10+2 exam format from any stream with English as a subject.
6. Age Limit: A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the age on or before 31st December on the year of admission to the course. Upper age limit is 30 years.
7. Physical Fitness: Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from contagious disease or any disability other then visual impairment along with application.
8. He / She must be certified by any civil surgeon as having a visual impairment.
9. Selection Criteria: Any student who passes the exam conducted by the end of the interview period shall be selected for the said course.
10. Interview Period:12th to 20th June 2013 [During the period regular classes of the 1st year subjects shall be conducted and by the end of the interview period selection exam shall be conducted]. No fees shall be taken for the interview period.
11. Maximum Number of seats: There shall be a maximum of 15 seatsper year for this course. There shall be no reservations of any kind, and seats shall be filled on merit of ten days evaluation period only.
12. Application Date: Accepted till 31st May 2013.
