AOF-IAB All India Dance Competition for the Blind

Indian Association for the Blind (IAB) is holding an All India Dance Competition for the visually challenged in association with Amway Opportunity Foundation on Saturday, 30th November, 2013 in Madurai. 

This dance property was conceptualized by Amway Opportunity Foundation in year 2010 and every year this event is organized jointly by AOF and its project partner. This year IAB is partnering with AOF for this event, which is going to be organized in South for the first time.

 
All the participants and their guides/admissible musicians will be paid return second class concessional rail fare and for participants travelling more than 14 hours by train shall be paid 3 tier AC and all will be provided free boarding and lodging for two days.

Our objective in organizing the Competition is to bring into sharp focus the talents and skills of blind youngsters in performing dance activities in the Indian style—solo and in group. The Competition seeks to provide the much-needed media and national recognition for the talents of these budding dance artists and also, to bring out for the community the special accomplishments of the blind in this area, usually considered beyond their reach.
