Applications are invited Online through the proforma Application Form to be made available on the WEBSITE (http://opsconline.gov.in) from 24.07.2013 to 27.08.2013 for recruitment to the posts of 
Assistant Fisheries Officer in Group-B as per relevant provisions of the Odisha Fisheries Service, Groups- „A & „B (Recruitment & Conditions of Service) Rules,2013 under Fisheries & A.R.D. Department.

No. of posts: 143, out of which 02 for VH (Women-01)
Pay Scale: Rs.9,300-34,800/-
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : A candidate must have possessed a Bachelor's Degree in Fishery Science (B.F.Sc.) or its equivalent degree from any recognized university in India or abroad.
Age: 21-44 years

The date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted by the Commission.
Application fee: No fee for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and physically Handicapped [ whose disability is not be less than 40% (forty percent)] are exempted from payment of this fee.
 
OTHER ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS :
He/she must be able to read ,write and speak Odia; and have -
 
(a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject;or
(b) Passed Matriculation or examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or
 
( c) Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government.
 
(d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
 
The period of probation is two years with effect from the date of he/she actually joins the post;
Candidates are required to submit along with the printout/hard copy of  online application, true copies of the following certificates and documents, duly attested by the candidate or a Gazetted Officer or 
Notary Public. The candidates are also required to mention, on each document “submitted by me” and put their full signature on the same.
They must not attach to their applications the original certificates. Only those who are called for the Viva Voce Test will be required to bring with them the original certificates, mark-sheets, Caste Certificate etc.

(i) H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of declaration of age issued by the concerned Board/Council;
 
(ii) Intermediate/+2 Examination Certificate/Equivalent examination certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council;
 
(iii) Bachelors Degree in Fishery science Certificate issued by the recognized University;
 
(iv) Mark-sheets in support of all the aforesaid Examinations passed (i.e. H.S.C. to Bachelors in (Fishery Science) including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board/Council/University;
Attach two recent passport size photographs in the (unsigned or unattested) which has been uploaded in the Online Application Form, along with the Printout copy of Online Application Form
 
Required pass certificate from the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha indicating Odia as a language subject equivalent to M.E. School Standard or a certificate from the Principal/Headmaster of the School indicating that the candidate has passed Odia in M.E. Standard; if not passed Odia as a subject in the High school Certificate or equivalent examination.

Physically Handicapped persons are required to attach Disability Certificate indicating percentage of disability issued by the concerned Medical Board.

Candidates are requested to upload the scanned image of latest passport size photograph along with scanned image of his/her full signature and scanned image of Left Thumb Impression(LTI) in the online application form. The uploaded photograph, full signature and LTI must be clearly identifiable/visible, otherwise the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected by the Commission and no representation from the candidate will be entertained.
 
Candidates should keep at least two copies of latest passport size photograph which is uploaded to the online application form for future use.
