The National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment invites applications, in the prescribed format, from the eligible candidates for the following posts to be filled on direct recruitment basis.

Post: Assistant Professor in Special Education
All India basis
No. of post: 01 for OBC/VH
Age Limit: 45 years
Scale of Pay: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Rs.6600 (G.P)
Essential Qualifications: (i). Master’s in Social Sciences with M.Ed. in Special Education(MR)/M.Ed with DSE(MR) or equivalent qualifications and Ph.D with dissertation topic in the field of education of children with mental retardation.
(ii). Five years experience in teaching professionals or personnel/research in the field of Special Education (MR).

2. Attender For Andhra Pradesh Region candidates only
No. of post: 01 for OBC/Low Vision
Age Limit: 28 years
Scale of Pay: Rs.4440-7440 + Rs.1300/- (GP)
Essential qualifications: (i) Passed in VIII class (ii) Ability to read and write English

The filled application form should be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of the Director, NIMH payable at Secunderabad. Separate application should be submitted for each post.
