Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2014

Staff Selection Commission will be holding Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2014 for recruitment to different posts for which Graduate from a recognized University is the minimum Educational Qualification. The examination will comprise of two Tiers of Written Objective Type examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/Interview/Skill test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination. Posts have been placed in two groups, inter-alia, based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II examination/Interview.

Ministries/Departments/Offices/Cadre: Central Govt. Offices/Ministries other than CSCS cadres.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 2400
Nature of Physical Disabilities permissible for the post: OA, OL, BL, OAL, Blind, Low Vision, HH 
Age: 18-27 years
 
3. Tax Assistant
Classification: Group 'C'
Ministries/Departments/Offices/Cadre: CBDT, CBEC
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 2400/-
Nature of Physical Disabilities permissible for the post: OA, OL, BL, OAL, Blind, Low Vision, HH 
Age: 18-27 years
 
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India i.e. all these posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL).
 
Age relaxation: PH 10 years, PH + OBC 13 years, PH + SC/ST 15 years 
 
Persons with visual disability of less than forty percent will not be considered as visually handicapped persons. One eyed candidates and partially blind candidates who are able to read the normal Question Paper set for all the candidates with or without magnifying glass and who wish to write/indicate the answer with the help of Magnifying Glass will be allowed to use the Magnifying Glass in the Examination Hall and will not be entitled to a Scribe. Such candidates will have to bring their own Magnifying Glass to the Examination Hall.
 
Visually handicapped (VH) candidates with visual disabilities of forty percent and above and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy can avail the assistance of a SCRIBE in the Written Examination subject to such requests being made in the application forms. Candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy may be provided with the facility of Scribe and compensatory time at par with VH candidates. Question papers and answer sheets will not be provided in BRAILLE.
 
Visually handicapped, including blind and partially blind, candidates with visual disability of forty percent and above may bring their own TAYLOER
 
FRAME and BRAILLE SLATE WITH PAPER  for solving Arithmetical probelms.
 
No attendant of VH/Cerebral Palsy candidates will be allowed inside the examination premises.
 
Computer Proficiency has also been prescribed as an Essential qualification.
 
Application fee: All women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-servicemen eligible for reseration are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.
 
Centres of examination:
 
A candidate must indicate the Centre in the Application Form in which he/she desires to take the Tier I examination. The Commission will allot the candidates to the same or nearby centre in Tier II Examination. A candidate must submit his/her application only to the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Office of the Commission under whose jurisdiction the Centre selected by him/her falls.
