A number of faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor (Backlog vacancies including reserved vacancies) are available in various Schools/Centres of the University. Candidates with good academic record, teaching and research experience and working in
related areas, are encouraged to apply. University also solicits applications from candidates with research interests that are interdisciplinary. At present, the number of vacancies at each level are as under:
Post: Associate Professor
No. of posts: 31, out of which 01 for VH
Scale of Pay: Rs. 37400-67000/- (PB-IV) AGP Rs. 9000/-
Qualification: (i) Masters Degree in any of the Social Sciences
(ii) Ph.D in the relevant area
(iii) Research specialization in Educational Studies;
(iv) Evidence of interest in Multidisciplinary areas of Education
The categorization of the physically handicapped persons for purposes of reservations in employment will be on the basis of the following definition: -
(i) Blindness or Low Vision – The blind are those who suffer from either of the following conditions:
(a) Total absence of sight;
(b) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses;
(c) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse.
There is no application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates.
