BSSC is also known as Bihar Staff Selection Commission. The regulatory body conducts the Inter Level and CGL Exam for recruitment in different government posts in Bihar. This exam allows candidates to be selected for different departments such as finance, transportation, planning and labor, development, etc. It is conducted every year by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) to recruit potential candidates for different vacant posts. Candidates may be recruited in the posts such as Secretariat Assistant, Assistant LDC, Enforcement Officer, Junior Draftsman, Stenographer, Forest Guard, and some others.

1. Lower Division Clerk
Level: 2
No. of posts: 445, , out of which 52 for Visually Imapired
Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent
Computer operation and computer typing is mandatory

2. Finance Inspector
No. of posts:01 for Visually Impaired
 Intermediate or equivalent

3. Revenue Staff
No. of posts: 34 for visually Impaired
 Intermediate or equivalent

4. Panchayat Secretary
No. of posts: 32
Level: 3
Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent

Total no. of posts: 119, for Visually Impaired

Only one online application form can be filled by a candidate

Age: 18-37 years (Male)
Age: 18-40 years (Female)
(Age Relaxation is given to certain categories)
Age Relaxation: 5 years for PwD candidates.

Educational Qualifications
There are two types of exams conducted through the BSSC. The first is the Inter Level Exam, and the second is the CGL Exam. Hence, the educational qualifications for these two BSSC Exams are different. Here are the required qualifications asked by the council as mentioned below.

BSSC Inter-Level Exam
A candidate who has passed the intermediate level examination from a recognized board or university can take the Bihar Inter Level Exam 2023. Apart from that, candidates with experience in shorthand typing and stenography will have an advantage in certain positions (clerk, stenographer, etc.).

BSSC CGL Exam
A candidate with a bachelor’s degree or completed graduation from a recognized board or university can take the Bihar CGL Exam 2023.

Two-three photos of passport size
Caste certificate (if needed)
