Chennai: Around 100 cars that set out for a 40-km drive from Cathedral Road were navigated by visually challenged people using braille map
Around 120 people took part, most of them had come with thei family. The navigators hailed from different walks of life from teachers to professors to homemakers.
Each car was given marks based on its speed, the distance covered and the route it takes. “I have been attending this for the past 20 years,” said S Uthriyamary, a retired blind teacher. Apart from being an interesting game, this place has fostered a lot of long-lasting friendships, she said.

Dr Sanjay Deshpande discussed the evolving landscape of sexual health across generations. Counselling is crucial due to different challenges faced by the current generation. Communication has improved, but new issues like lifestyle diseases and early exposure to sexual content emerged. Dr Deshpande emphasized comprehensive sex education and a dedicated syllabus for India.
