Braille ballot papers ready for poll day

Hyderabad: The visually-impaired voters in the state can now cast their votes on November 30 through the braille ballot papers which has been introduced by the Election Commission. There are 56,000 blind voters in Telangana, according to the voters’ list

The chief electoral office(CEO) of Telangana has made special arrangement by printing around 50,000 pamphlets in braille script.

The blind voters can easily read the embossed pamphlets printed in braille script by touching it and cast their votes in four steps. The printing of the pamphlets will be complete in a couple of days, manager of the Malakpet braille press Ramesh told TOI
