To help people with special needs get disability certificates, Sahyog India, an NGO, conducted a disability medical board camp. The camp was inaugurated by Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Deputy Inspector General , Jammu-Kathua Range .
The camp was organised under the supervision of Directorate Health Services (DHS), Jammu. More than 800 persons with multiple disabilities came from far-off remote border areas. Such board camps are regularly conducted at the District Headquarters, but for the convenience of the physically challenged, a team of specialist doctors was constituted and deputed to examine the needy.
A total of 90 people with different sets of disability were provided with certificates which will help them to get government benefits.
