Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Wednesday issued instructions that such JBT teachers as are either visually impaired or are suffering from chronic disease, should be posted at stations near their house.
Due to non-availing of opportunity in the transfer policy of the Education Department, such teachers have been deprived of allotment of stations near to their house. Now, all such teachers will be transferred immediately, said the Chief Minister while holding a Janta Darbar to address issues and grievances of the people here.
About 50 people met him with their problems ranging from encroachment on panchayat land, inter-district transfers, special promotion benefit to employees, and improvement of graveyards.
A delegation, led by the president, State Primary Teachers Association, Tarun Suhag, pointed out that in the transfer policy, JBT teachers who were visually impaired and were suffering from serious diseases had been allotted stations away from home, due to which they were facing huge problems.
On this, the Chief Minister directed the Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, Dheera Khandelwal, to immediately allot stations to such JBTs near to their homes.
A delegation of Mewat Primary Teachers Union also requested the Chief Minister that JBTs should be promoted to the rank of TGTs at the earliest. Their request was accepted by the Chief Minister.
In another case, an employee of State University met the Chief Minister demanding framing of a policy for special promotion benefits to non-teaching academic gold medalists of the university. On this, the Chief Minister gave the assurance that he would look into the matter.
On another complaint, the Chief Minister directed immediate transfer of Anoop, Secretary, Market Committee, Uklana.
On a request of the IRB delegation concerning posting of IRB personnel in the district, he instructed the Director General of Police, BS Sandhu, to look into the policy of other states so that these soldiers could be posted in the districts according to the rules.
A delegation of Mahadevpura in Panchkula pleaded for renovation of the graveyard. On their request, Manohar Lal said the graveyard would be renovated within two months.
A delegation of leaseholders (pattedars) from Pehowa thanked the Chief Minister for their resettlement.
The State Government had re-settled about 800 such people at Kupian Plot Krah Sahib, Pehowa in Kurukshetra.
