Equa –Thon 2014

Equa-thon is a unique run, where people with and without disabilities will run alongside each other to call for the end of inequality and difference.

Supported by UK AID, we hope this initiative becomes the cornerstone for an even more robust, rights based campaign on disability in India. With the Disability Bill slated to be passed in the upcoming parliamentary session, we hope that Equa-thon will add value and spirit to the call for inclusion and

equality.

Event flow on Race Day, 9th February, 2014:

3:00 AM to 5:30 AM : Participants assemble at Main Entrance (Gate no 1)

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi

6:30 AM : Inauguration and welcome

7 AM : Race flag off

9:00 AM: Musical performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

10 AM : Prize distribution and vote of thanks

Each runner is allocated a unique number which is to be displayed prominently on the chest during the race. Please take care to wear it throughout the event as it is your identification and will help with security

arrangements, declaration of race results, etc.

Tags with the bib number on them will be made available in the following ways:

1) At the VSO office, 3-7 February

2) For large groups, bibs will be made available directly at the respective organizations

3) Onsite at JLN Stadium on 8 February, 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
