We would like to inform you that Enable India will be conducting a six month trainer certification course on the following subjects - teaching computers for persons with vision impairment, employability and mobility at Enable India. .

This course helps aspirants to learn from experts about the teaching and evaluation techniques that have helped place persons with vision impairment in 183 jobs, in over 27 sectors, including banking and financial services, retail, and information technology!

Introduction to the course

This course aims at building the capacity of trainers of various institutions/NGOs/schools to conduct sessions on computers and employability courses effectively. The course will also give the trainers exposure on exploring and understanding the learners, various teaching methodologies, evaluation techniques, accessing and teaching self-learning tools. Trainers will begin the journey to adopt the self-development tool which will transform learners. Trainers can also learn how to create a training environment and practice conducting
trainings. Your candidates will begin their journey to take responsibilities. The trainer will experience the training process and will be able to implement the best practices once he/she starts taking sessions. Trainers can also become good at using assistive aids and showing students with vision impairment how to use the same.

After the course, the trainers will be able to:

·         Able to teach computers to job seekers independently

·          Able to teach computers for college and school going students

·          Able to teach computers increase the productivity of vision impaired employees in corporate sector and public sector

·         Able to conduct the awareness courses  for school going students, college going students,

·         Able to conduct awareness campaign

·         Able to teach computers to those not studied

Inclusive trainer certification course for teaching computers to persons with vision impairment

Date of the course: March 6th  2018 to September 12th  2018

Duration: Six months 150 working days (1,500 hours)

Who is eligible

Person with non-disabilities, persons with vision impairment, persons with physical disability

Education and Selection criteria

Participants have to pass the initial assessment on computer and English, Able to comprehend English, Able to access basic computers, Participant’s age limit is not more than 35.

Certification criteria

Participants should complete 100% assessments and projects and various sub courses, complete internship, Participants should have 95% attendance,

Training model

Flip model, peer model, internship,

Topic coverage

Brushing up on computer knowledge with screen reader and screen magnification software, teaching methodologies, evaluation techniques, understanding the learner, schedule preparation and training process.

Will we get certificate?

Yes after the internship model and if course exit criteria is met

Accommodation detail:

EnAble India will be help the participants to find the hostel and PG accommodation and participants has to bear the hostel accommodation cost

Persons with disability will get health insurance until they are present in the course

To confirm your seat in the program, participants has to pass the initial computer and English test

Interested participants can take the test from February 14th to March 1st  2018. Timing is from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Results will be announce within 16 working hours
