Job Announcement: Music Teacher at National Association for the Blind, India
The DVK Music Academy of the National Association for the Blind, India is looking for a full-time Music Teacher to teach Visually Challenged Students at our NAB Reay Road Complex, Cotton Green, Mumbai.
 
Educational Qualifications & Other Requirements:
 - Bachelor’s degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental - Prabhakar).
- Work experience as a Music Teacher.
- Excellent knowledge of different musical instruments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for music and high patience levels to teach Visually Challenged Students.
- Ability to assess Visually Challenged Students' potential and skills.
- Ability to lead an orchestra or a concert of Visually Challenged Persons.
- Ability to conduct extracurricular activities and musical performances.
- Ability to maintain a positive environment with Visually Challenged Students.
 
Responsibilities:
- Teaching musical instruments like piano, guitar, and violin to Visually Challenged Students.
- Training Visually Challenged Students for events, private musical performances, and concerts.
- Gathering the required teaching materials.
- Assessing students’ performance.
- Coaching Visually Challenged students on voice modulation and tempo.
- Conducting music theory and practical examinations.
- Helping Visually Challenged Students tap into their potential.
- Suggesting additions and improvements in the curriculum.
- Maintaining and encouraging a positive atmosphere in the music class.
 Remuneration: Honorarium will be based on daily attendance and as per Educational and Professional qualification.
