Leadership training for young voices supported by Leonard Cheshire Disability South Asia Regional Office.

The leadership training has been organized for the young people with disability who are in the age group of 16 to 25 years for all cross disability who are reciding in Bengaluru

Date: 13-14 August 2011 (Saturday and Sunday).

Venue: Bangalore, exact venue will be confirmed on 10 August.

Contents of training:

• Basics of leadership skills, structure of group and its dynamics.
• Introduction to the issues of persons with disabilities.
• Role of young people with disabilities in the personal and social development.
• Introduction to national and international instruments for person's with disability.
• Introduction to young voices group at global national and regional level.
• Action plan for young voices Bengaluru chapter for next year.

Eligibility:
A person with disability.
All persons with disability who are in the age group of 16 to 25 preferably with in 23 years.
Both male and female with disability are welcomed.
Those who are interested in contributing their valuable time for other persons with disability.

About Young Voices group:

Youngvoices is group of young people with disability supported by Leonard Cheshire Disability. It is a group of volunteers of young people with all kinds of disabilities who are in the age group of 16 to 25 years.
Who meets once in a month to discuss the various issues of persons with disabilities. In addition, find out various ways of implementing the policies, laws of national and international instruments for persons with disabilities.
We have this platform in around 19 countries across the world In India, we have six groups Here is very good opportunity for young vibrant youth with disability to have awareness on their rights and fight for it.
