Nagpur: A low vision and rehabilitation centre for visually challenged people was started by Madhav Netralaya, at Wasudeo Nagar centre, on the occasion of birth anniversary of second sarsanghchalak of RSS Golwalkar Guruji.
The centre was inaugurated by CA Jayaram, deputy general manager, RBI, who himself is visually challenged. Senior RSS pracharak and advisor of Madhav Netralaya Ravindra Bhusari, Trimurti Nagar bhag sanghchalak Deepak Deshpande and retired deputy director of health services Dr Sanjay Jaiswal were present as guests of honour.
Jidnyasa Kubade Chawaldhar welcomed the guests.
The project will provide gadgets and instruments (which is needed for their independent living) at reasonable cost to the blind people. CMD of Madhav Netralaya Maj Gen (retd) Anil Bam, CMO Dr Varada Gokhale, director Sudhir Pathak, Vrunda Pitale and Dr Anil Sharma were also present. Project co-ordinator Sandeep Dharmadhikari proposed a vote of thanks. tnn
