Established in the year 1952, NAB (India) has Completed  60 years of  active presence in the field of blind welfare and has touched the lives of thousands of visually impaired children and adults with a view to give them independence and better quality of life. 

This year, being the Diamond Jubilee Year of its existence, NAB (India) has undertaken a variety of activities aimed at increased awareness and visibility in the country.  One major activity in this series to mark the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations is a Grand National Braille Reading and Writing competition for Visually Impaired Children to be organized in Mount Abu, Rajasthan during March 13 - 14, 2012
