BCCI should take positive actions to recognise: President CABI

Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) president GK Mahantesh on Wednesday said BCCI should recognise the federation and provide them with proper infrastructure and financial aid. “We have written to the BCCI several times and their response has been very positive till now. However, actions should follow the response. We need positive actions from the custodians of cricket in India,” Mahantesh told PTI.

Sportsmen, over all ages and continents, have, in their own way, fought varied challenges to attain the highest pinnacle, and though their fields might be diverse, the hunger to be the best is all too similar.
Some players participate in team games and have to co-join talents as a whole. Some have to keep pushing ahead as a lone entity, and still others have to ensure that their mental strength overpowers their physical stamina. Under the searing sun or in an air-conditioned hall, the vagaries of sport might differ but at the very core, the basics of each sport remains similar.

We want people to look up to us with pride, not sympathy, says CABI secy

People look up to us in sympathy, but we want them to look up to us with pride, says secretary of Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and cricket player Sonu Golkar.

For the first time, the city cricket lovers will witness an International tournament for the blind.

The international tournament will be played in Bhopal on October 17 that will be a great experience for the game lovers.

The tournament is organised by Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). The back-to-back series of cricket will be held in different cities of the country.

Five Bears named by ECB in Visually Impaired tour of India

ECB have today announced five Warwickshire cricketers in a 16-man Visually Impaired (VI) squad for their upcoming tour of India.

Warwickshire's Justin Hollingsworth, Luke Sugg, Nathan Foy, Mo Khatri and Mark Turnham are part of the squad that will take on World Champions India in three IT20s before competing in a Tri-Series against India and Sri Lanka.
