One-day seminar on "reading without seeing" in Kullu

Saksham, under the banner of DAISY forum of India, is organising a one-day seminar on "READING WITHOUT SEEING" in collaboration with NAB Kullu at Chander Abha Mahila Kalyaan Bhawan

National Association for the Blind

Himachal Pradesh State Branch

Sarwari Bazar, Near Bus Stand, Kullu (HP)

from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 10 September 2011.

The objective of the seminar is to make end users, educational institutions and government policy makers aware of various options for reading and writing, independence for persons with blindness or low vision. A revolution has happened in this field. However, the number of users taking benefit of this is very less due to lack of adequate information about available options. This seminar is to address this problem.

The seminar will present information and practical demonstrations of various equipment and infrastructure facilities such as online libraries, access to main stream magazines, news papers and various tools to read independently.

Request all friends and organizations working for print disability in Himachal Pradesh to participate and try to spread more awareness amongst the youth, as today's youth is tomorrow's future! With the help of latest technology we can fulfill our dreams in terms of career and also about the current happenings around the world.
