Specialization in theories of inter-disciplinary disability studies with grounding in any of the humanities/science/ social science disciplines.

SCALE OF PAY: Rs. 37400-67000 (PB-4) AGP Rs. 10000

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. An eminent scholar with a doctoral degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, and actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications as books and/or research/policy papers. 
 

2. A minimum of ten years experience in teaching at University/College Level, and/or research at a 

University/National level institution, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level. 

3. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching process. 
 

4. A minimum score as indicated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal system (PBAS) as set out in the UGC Regulations, 2010. 

 

DEFINITION OF THE PH CATEGORIES 

 

The categorization of the physically handicapped persons for purposes of reservations in employment will be on the basis of the following definition: - 

 

(i) Blindness or Low Vision – The blind are those who suffer from either of the following conditions: 

(a) Total absence of sight; 

(b) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses; 

(c) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse. 

 

Application form duly filled, in all respect by the candidate must be supported by self-attested copies of all certificates, Mark Sheets, evidence of teaching, research experience and M.A./M.Phil/Ph.D./NET certificates, copies of reprints of published articles, certificate containing the record of date of birth, etc. DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED WITH THE APPLICATION MAY BE SECURELY TAGGED IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER TO AVOID LOSS IN HANDLING.
