RP Social will be organizing trips and outings to some of the most popular places in LA. Hollywood, Universal Studios, Disneyland, Getty Art Museum, Downtown LA, The Beach.The social will provide you with an opportunity to get to meet others in the same boat. Share experiences, laughs, gizmos and gadgets and ideas that help us in daily living. You have to carry a ID card stating that you are leagally blind. In L.A. they have the Braille Institute. They are in the process of having this card made available to anyone who needs one at a nominal cost. It is a photo ID much like a credit card and generally the perfect proof that you are “legal”. The one thing you would need to get one of these cards would be a letter from a physician stating that you are “legally blind”. Please make sure that you have that proof with you when you attend the social. One additional benefit of that letter even without a card from Braille is it entitles the person bearing it to free admission to Universal Studios Hollywood.
