Over the last 22 years, Samarthanam Trust for disabled in collaboration with
the government, corporates and the other civil society individuals has
embarked upon various pathbreaking projects ranging from inclusive
education, employment generation, livelihood provider to disability
Sports in 15th cities of the country. On upcoming 8th December 2018,
Samarthanam is organising its 14th Bengaluru walkathon to support
digital literacy and promote digital inclusion for persons with
disabilities. Samarthanam is determined to empower 1000 people with
disabilities in 2019. Friends, we request you please join us for the
walkathon on the 8th December and experience the multitude of
diversity which makes us part of this family called humanity. People
with disabilities traverse a host of challenges in their day-to-day
lives and media can lend a helping hand to sensitise and spread
awareness about their real hardships. Amidst technological revolution
and mushrooming of scores of websites what is swept under the carpet
is the issue of inaccessibility which renders people with disabilities
excluded from the virtual world. the call for digital revolution is
superfluous unless it offers smooth accessibility to persons with
disabilities. We therefore request you to please join us on 8th
December for the walkathon in Bengaluru and cover the event for your
esteemed dalies. And if possible help us in reaching to more friends
in the media fraternity for this amazing cause. We look forward to
your support and participation.
