RULES FOR PARTICIPATION

 

  1. The Sports Meet is open to students of the University of Delhi only.
  2. All entries should be attested by the Institutions to which the participants belong.
  3. All participants will have to submit a copy of the Disability Certificate issued by a Government Hospital and the identity card along with the Entry Form.
  4. There are separate events for different categories of disabilities.
  5. The competitors can participate in a maximum of three events (excluding the chess competition).
  6. The competitors will participate in the competitions at their own risk and the organizers will not be responsible for any injury/mishap during the competitions.
  7. The decision of the Judges and Referees will be final. The top three performers in each event will be given medals, certificates  and gifts.
  8. Throughout the competition, the competitors shall display the chest numbers allotted to them on their chest and their backs.  The chest numbers will be provided by the organizers.
  9. It shall be the personal responsibility of the competitors to report to the concerned officials as and when called for participation in the event. In case the competitor fails to report in time, his/her candidature shall be cancelled in that event. 
  10. All the competitors must be medically fit.
  11. The competitors should participate in the Meet in proper kits and shoes.
  12. The organizers reserve the right to change/alter/cancel/delete any of the events at any stage without any notice.
  13. The competitors can bring their escorts and guides. The EOC will provide guides and escorts wherever essential.
  14. The competitors should be accompanied with their coach/ manager/ teacher-in-charge.
  15. The entry forms duly completed and accompanied by the Medical Certificate of Blindness/ Disability and the photographs of competitors duly attested by the Head of the Institutions must reach the EOC office latest by 21 January, 2011.
  16. No changes in the entries (name & events) once submitted will be allowed at any stage. 
  17. There is no entry fee for participation in any event.

 

Classification of Visually Impaired

There will be only categories: B1 (totally blind persons) and B2 (partially blind persons)
