Mitra Jyothi announces the launch of a new course for the visually impaired: Accessibility Testing.
Accessibility Testing is a type of Software Testing performed to ensure that the application being tested is usable by people with disabilities like hearing, colour blindness, old age and other disadvantaged groups. In particular, it focuses on testing software, mobile apps and websites. About 15% of the population has disability issues. A software product can cater to this big market, if it's made disabled friendly. Hence, Accessibility Testing has become the latest upcoming career choice with a growing demand for trained Accessibility Testers.
Accessibility testing may be challenging for testers because they are unfamiliar with disabilities. It is a work better suited to disabled people who understand the challenges. Mitra Jyothi is offering this residential course to any person with visual impairment, whose educational qualification is minimum Graduate, has knowledge in MS Office, Internet and good communication in English.
The duration of the course is 6 weeks and it’s planned to commence on 4th February 2020. The curriculum has been designed by industry experts. Once completed successfully, it will increase the employment opportunities and betterment of existing job.
However, candidates will have to pass an evaluation test to be eligible for the training. This evaluation can also be done online or over the phone for out station candidates.
