Objective: To build capacity of trainers who are working with visually impaired young adults so that they can teach the life-skills to visually impaired candidates.

Methodology:

It is an instructor led program using Tutor manuals and Teaching aids clubbed with group discussions and mock sessions.

 
Eligibility:

NGO/GO professionals/trainers, Colleges and universities working with people with disabilities

Life-skills Manual with 56 lessons

Need to contact EnAble India and register for the required TOT.

Need to fill the TOT registration form

Candidates will be selected after evaluation test

2. TOT for Life Skills:
EnAble India adapted the pre-employment life-skills curriculum for people with disabilities from GE Udaan Life-skills programme developed by International Youth Federation after signing a MoU with IYF.  Sight Savers International is now funding the implementation of this programme across the country through training trainers, working with visually impaired persons and training the visually impaired candidates directly.
This training will be onsite for 5 days.

  • The Life-skills curriculum has 56 topics under the following 6 modules
  • Personal competencies required to improve quality of life
  • Effective work habits,
  • Overcoming disability and independent living,
  • Community service
  • Sexual health
  • Problem solving skills
