Enable India in collaboration with ‘Discovering Hands Germany’ and ‘NAB India, Centre for Blind Women & Disability Studies-Delhi invites applications from eligible blind girls for training in `Breast Cancer Detection under `Discovering Hands Project.

Eligibility Criteria to apply for the training: 

•             Only women with vision impairment (totally blind & Low Vision) can apply
•             Age: between 18 years to 55 years
•             Minimum education: 10th class
•             Basic knowledge of science till 8th class
•             Seriousness towards the training is highly desirable as after the training, the trained candidates will work with patients and doctors.

Final Selection: Final selection shall be made after 5 days of assessment. 

Training Duration: 9 months
Expected Salary   :  15,000/- per month

Training Includes: Human anatomy, computer skills which is related to Discovering Hands, communication skills, breast specific psychology and administrative tasks. 

During the 9 months of training, the trainees will learn how to use a standardized diagnostic method for examining the female breast. They get 6 months Domain Training and 3 months Internship. 

Employment Scope: MTEs are either directly employed by resident doctors or hospitals or they work for different clinics and hospitals on a freelance basis.
Our first batch candidates have recently completed their Internship program at Cytecare Cancer Hospitals and qualified candidates will be working as Medical Tactile Examiners.
