The Equal Opportunity Cell in collaboration with the Saksham Trust will conduct training on DAISY Digital Talking Books production at the DU-NTPC Foundation ICT Training Centre during 29 June - 2 July 2009. This four days training is aimed at imparting audio recording & editing skills so that participants can seek employment with institutions for the blind as talking book editors and producers. The training will also involve completion of an editing assignment within one week of completion of the training. The certificates will be given only after successful completion of the assignment. The production tools that will be covered in this training are Obi, Sigtuna & Save As DAISY.
Eligibility
Visually impaired persons having passed class 12 and having good knowledge of computer operation can apply. Telephonic/personal interview will be conducted for selection. This training is free of charge, however, participants will have to meet their travelling & stay expenses if applicable.
