Workshop On Android Accessibility

The Assistive Technology helpline of the National Association for the Blind Delhi will conduct the first WORKSHOP ON Android Accessibility on Saturday 22 March 2014 from 10 am to 1 pm

In the present scenario Android has emerged as the best option for the
visually impaired when it comes to selecting an accessible and affordable mobile phone or tablet.  The Accessibility of the Android platform has improved rapidly over the years and now even totally blind persons can independently do everything the devices are meant for. However, since most of the Android devices in the market only have a touch screen visually impaired persons need guidance and some training in order to use them effectively.
Visually impaired persons over the age of 18 years who have either purchased Android mobile phones and tablets recently or are seriously planning to switch to the Android platform are invited to attend. Please bring your Android mobile phone or tablet if you already have one.

Note that this workshop is targeted at beginners and it will focus on the basics of Android accessibility.  People who are already using Android and have advanced queries may contact the NAB Helpline for answers instead of attending this workshop.

Please register for this workshop before 18 March 2014 with the NAB Helpline by email or phone. There is no fee for participating in this workshop. No accommodation or reimbursement of travel expenses will be provided by NAB Delhi for this workshop. Please hurry, only a small number can be accommodated in this first of its kind event.
