VADODARA: She was the first and the only visually-impaired student to appear for the SSC exams using a laptop in the state. Now, Vadodara-based Yesha Makwana achieved yet another feat as she ranked first in the state among all the visually-impaired students who took the board exams. Makwana, a student of Web Memorial School, scored 85.2%.
The blind students are given special laptops with voice assistant features.
THOOTHUKUDI: A group of people with visual impairment have decided to name their residential area after the outgoing district collector, Dr K Senthil Raj, as a mark of respect for his continuous efforts to empower them. The story is set in a fairytale-like place where a monster lived in a cave and hated colours. So, one day she snatched away the colours from everything in the world.
