THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two visually-challenged individuals have lost their lives after being hit by a train at the Kadakkavoor railway station here late on Saturday night. The deceased were identified as Bijo Varghese and Shaji Daniel from Tiruvalla and Seethathodu respectively in Pathanamthitta district. According to police, both the deceased were in the district to attend a public function at the Blind School in Varkala.
More than 100 persons with movement disability were presented with side-wheel scooters at a function held here on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Ratheesh, 29, and Vinod, 32, members of blind cricket team Dragon Stars based in Palakkad.
