The newly constructed world class Rehabilitation Center to provide lifelong

rehabilitation  with therapy, training, gainful occupation and lifecare

services with residential facilities for persons with disabilities was

inaugurated today by Shri Arun Tiwari, Chairman & Managing Director, Union

Bank of India.



This Rehabilitation Center has been constructed by MBA Foundation, Mumbai a

registered NGO launched in 2002. MBA Foundation has been working towards

rehabilitation of disabled persons with a view to providing them an

opportunity to join the main stream of the Society.



MBA Foundation has true to its  Mission of providing*‘A life of Self Esteem

and Dignity for the Differently Abled’* has completed its pet project in

record time.



The center has been built in a land admeasuring 8000 sq. ft carpet area in

Airoli, Mumbai. The center has disabled friendly facilities and can service

500 different abled persons with staying facility for 75 people.



This Integrated Disabled friendly Rehabilitation Center is very unique and

covers the entire gamut of facilities ranging from Early Childhood

Intervention to facilitating employment of deserving disabled persons.



This  project entailing a cost of Rs. 8 Crores was possible only with the

help of support of many philanthropic organizations, individuals, and CSR

Funding from a few corporates.



Union Bank Social Foundation Trust, the CSR unit of Union bank of India,

have funded the project by Sponsoring  the entire 4thFloor of the Building

which  houses the most important activities like Day Care- Therapy, Early

Childhood intervention, Vocational Training and Sheltered  Workshop.
